This was our inspiration for this knife design. Remember when you were young and your dad or grandpa always carried that small pocket knife? He used it for everything. It was a tool that he trusted. This is why we named this small pocket knife the Confidant. It will become a close and trusted friend.

With a blade barely over 2", this knife is not meant to be anything other than a daily carry work horse. Whether that is just part of your everyday carry or if you work on a ranch and need a small knife for opening hay bales and other everyday chores. This knife will handle it in style. Speaking of the handle, each one of these handmade knives comes with Horn handles. Every single knife is going to be unique. Some handles will be dark and others will be light. Some will show knots and swirls and others will have straight grains. This is what we love about using natural materials. It makes each knife unique.

The stainless steel bolster and the brass, carved liners give this knife a heritage look. It is definitely a knife your grandfather would have carried. The lock back system will keep the knife opened and locked when you want and finger nail groove will help you open the blade. This knife is definitely small enough to fit into your pants pocket, but we have included a leather sheath with belt loop for those that would prefer belt carry. He was most famously known for the doomed Antarctic expedition to reach the South Pole in 1912. Scott had led a previous Antarctic expedition on the HMS Discovery and was praised for his leadership and ability as an explorer. In June 1910 Scott and his team embarked on the second Antarctic expedition with the goal of reaching the South Pole. Due to the harsh conditions, 7 of the 11 man expedition team had returned to their base by December. The remaining group reached the South Pole on January 17, 1912 but found evidence that Roald Amundsen had beaten them by one month. The conditions worsened as they made their way back to their base. With little food left, they were confined to their tent during a blizzard that lasted for nine days. With dignity, they awaited their death. Searchers found their tent and frozen bodies on November 12, 1912. After 30 hours of trying to claw and punch his way to safety, Freuchen chiselled through the wall of ice with a shank he fashioned, crawled three hours back to base, took off his socks, saw his toes had gangrene, and then amputated his toes with a pair of pliers and a hammer. Immediately after Patterson’s arrival in Africa, lion attacks began to take place. The locals who were very superstitious, refused to work on the railway. Worrying that the railroad would not be finished, Patterson went after the rogue lions himself. We all love wine, right? Right! Have you ever been stuck in a hotel room or out with your friends at a barbecue in the mountains and you don’t have a way to open that perfect bottle of wine? Yes, we all have but now we have you covered with one of the most amazing knives and wine corkscrews ever.

This knife and wine corkscrew combo is named after an American group of winemakers who promote the American Rhône varietal wines. The Rhône Rangers are wine enthusiasts, growers, and teachers that educate wine enthusiasts on the excellence of Rhône wines. These wines are made from the same grapes that have been a staple in France’s Rhône River Valley for centuries. Their popularity in the United States is fostered by their versatility with food, right flavors, and the ideals of American winemakers.

We named our Damascus steel folding knife and wine corkscrew after the Rhône Rangers for two reasons. One, we love what the Rhône Rangers stand for. They are a non-profit organization that is educating and instilling the values of growing a versatile grape. Two, our laguiole design is based on the timeless design of a pocket knife from France, specifically the Massif region of France. We like to think that a field worker or winemaker would carry one of our knives for the ease of cutting bread, cheese, and opening a bottle of wine. Ya, maybe we are a little romantic in our ideas of an era long passed but there is no reason you can’t rekindle some of that magic with an amazing knife like this.

A knife or corkscrew doesn’t have to be dull. Why not carry a piece of history and let your friends know you enjoy this classic style. This knife and wine corkscrew will surely be the talk of your friends and become a trusted ally. Whether opening those Amazon boxes or uncorking a fantastic Malbec from Argentina, this knife will get you there in style.

A Londoner generally refers to a person from London, England, but in our case, it refers to one of the greatest American novelists and adventurers ever to live. Jack London. London began roaming the world at the early age of 14 when he quit school. In his early years, Jack traveled to California to be part of the Klondike Gold Rush. His life was filled with incredible adventures, including, sailing to Hawaii and Australia, train hopping his way across the United States during the depression, writing as a war reporter, describing and photographing San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake, and building a ranch in Sonoma County. It is with praise and admiration that we name our Damascus steel liner lock folding knife after Jack London. Reading his stories, we like to imagine that he would carry a unique knife such as this.

A robust liner lock will click firmly into place as you open the knife, locking the blade in an open position.
